Conversion Tracking

It is important to understand the end-end tracking flow because it forms the backbone of successful campaigns in performance marketing. This process is described in the steps and flowchart below. 

  1. The user sees and engages with an advertisement creative of an offer and then clicks on the creative (banner, image, text link)

  2. Everflow generates a unique transaction ID of the user’s click and forwards the user to the landing page of the offer.   Everflow also transmits the transaction ID of the click to the advertiser in the offer URL. 

  3. The user obtains more information on the landing page and converts on the offer.  Examples of a conversion include downloading an app, filling out a web form or making a purchase online.  The advertiser fires the postback for each conversion back to Everflow. This may be in the form of a browser pixel or a server-to-server postback.  The latter is preferred because of much better reliability. 

  4. Everflow retrieves the transaction ID from the postback and registers a conversion in the system.  

  5. Everflow populates the system wide reports for the network, affiliate and the advertiser along with the relevant revenue and payout data for the offer.
