Getting Started Guide

The Getting Started Guide will walk you through the basic steps of setting up and offer, a new advertiser, an affiliate, and fetching a tracking link. 



The Quick Start guide covers the process of adding a new offer, an advertiser, an affiliate, and fetching a tracking link associated with the offer and affiliate.&nbsp;<br>The first step is to click&nbsp;<b><i>Offers, </i></b><i></i>and then click&nbsp;<span><i><b>Add&nbsp;</b></i>on the drop down menu</span>

<b><i>Name</i></b> the Affiliate

Select a <b><i>Status</i></b>, we chose&nbsp;<span class=""><i><b>Active </b></i></span>

Select an&nbsp;<b><i>Advertiser</i></b><i></i>. To add a new advertiser, click <span><i><b>Add Advertiser</b></i></span>

Fill out information like&nbsp;<b><i>Name</i></b><i></i> and&nbsp;<b><i>Account Manager</i></b><i></i>, then click&nbsp;<b><i>Add&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>when finished.

Select a&nbsp;<b><i>Category</i></b><i></i> and a&nbsp;<b><i>Currency.</i></b><i></i> We chose Business and US Dollar.

Fill in&nbsp;<b><i>Destination URL&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>and select&nbsp;<b><i>Sub IDs</i></b><i></i>. Then click&nbsp;<b><i>Continue</i></b><i></i> when finished.

Select a&nbsp;<b><i>B</i></b><i><b>ase Revenue Type</b></i>, we chose&nbsp;<span><i><b>Revenue Per Action</b></i></span>

Fill in&nbsp;<b><i>Revenue Per Conversion</i></b>

Select a<i><b>&nbsp;Base Payout Type,</b></i> we chose&nbsp;<span><i><b>Cost Per Action</b></i></span>

Type in&nbsp;<b><i>Cost per Conversion</i></b><i></i>, then click&nbsp;<b><i>Continue</i></b><i></i> when finished.

Under&nbsp;<b><i>Tracking &amp; Controls</i></b><i></i>, you can change the&nbsp;<b><i>Specific Tracking Domain</i></b><i></i>,&nbsp;<b><i>Conversion Method</i></b><i></i>, and&nbsp;<b><i>Caps</i></b>

Enabling <b><i>Caps</i></b>&nbsp;allows you to set various controls on Conversions, Revenue, Payout, or Clicks.

Four types of Caps can be set on three different settings: Daily, Monthly, and Global. We chose to put on a&nbsp;<b><i>Daily Conversion Cap.</i></b><i></i> Click&nbsp;<b><i>Continue</i></b><i></i> when finished.<br>

Under the&nbsp;<b><i>Targeting &nbsp;</i></b><i></i>section, you can pick and choose specific users to target based on&nbsp;<b><i>Platform, Device Type, Browser, OS Version, and Language.&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>You can also target based on&nbsp;<b><i>Geolocation</i></b><i></i>.

Clicking&nbsp;<b><i>Platform&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>allows you to add the platforms you'd like to target. We have chosen to target Android, Linux, and Windows users.

<b><i>Device Type</i></b><i></i> allows you to target them by different devices

You can also target by&nbsp;<b><i>Browser</i></b>

And&nbsp;<b><i>OS Version</i></b>

You can also target based on&nbsp;<b><i>Language&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>or&nbsp;<b><i>Country, Region, City, DMA,&nbsp;</i></b><i><u></u></i>or&nbsp;<b><i>Mobile Carrier</i></b>

We decided to target AT&amp;T customers in the US and Mexico. Click&nbsp;<b><i>Continue&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>when finished.

Choose to Enable or Disable Fail Traffic

Too add a redirect, click <span class=""><i><b> Add Redirect </b></i></span>

Click&nbsp;<span class=""><i><b>Select an offer,&nbsp;</b></i>we chose</span>&nbsp;<span><i><b>Demo Offer Group (3).</b></i> Then click&nbsp;<b><i>Continue</i></b><i></i> when finished.</span>

Here, you can add <b><i>Creatives.</i></b><i></i> Once you are done, click <span class=""><i><b> Save.</b></i></span>

To add an affiliate, click&nbsp;<b><i>Affiliates&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>and select<span class=""><i><b>&nbsp;Add&nbsp;</b></i>in the drop down menu</span>

Name the&nbsp;<b><i>Affiliate&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>and select an&nbsp;<b><i>Account Manager.&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>We named it Affiliate 1 and chose Everflow Admin as the account manager.&nbsp;<i></i>

Select a&nbsp;<b><i>Status</i></b><i></i>, then click&nbsp;<b><i>Add&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>when finished.

To fetch a traffic link, go back to the <b><i>Dashboard&nbsp;</i></b><i></i>and&nbsp;click <span><i><b> Select an offer.&nbsp;</b></i>We chose Click&nbsp;<span class=""><i><b>(49) My Test Offer.</b></i></span></span>

Click <span><i><b> Select an affiliate,&nbsp;</b></i>we chose Click&nbsp;<span class="component"><i><b>(28) Affiliate 1</b></i></span></span>

<span>Enter&nbsp;</span><span><span><b><i>test</i></b></span></span><span>&nbsp;in the&nbsp;</span><span><b><i>Sub1</i></b></span><span>&nbsp;field to populate a sub1 parameter to the URL shown below.&nbsp;</span><br>

Here is the URL to your new&nbsp;<b><i>Tracking Link</i></b><i></i>. You can copy it to the&nbsp;<b><i>Clipboard</i></b><i></i> with the icon on the top right of the URL box.

That's it. You're done.



How To Set Up an Offer

Basics

  • Start by going to the dashboard and clicking Offers >> Add
  • Adding an Offer is broken into six different steps: General, Revenue & Payout, Tracking & Controls, Targeting, Fail Traffic, and Files


Under General

  • Name the offer
  • Select a status
  • You can choose from Active, Paused, and Pending
  • Active means the offer is up and running, paused means the offer has been approved but is not currently running, and pending means that the offer has yet to be approved
  • Select an advertiser, or add a new one
  • You can also add an advertiser by navigating to the dashboard and clicking Advertisers>>Add
  • Select category and currency
  • Enter destination URL w sub IDs click here
  • Then click next to move onto Revenue & Payout 


Under Revenue & Payout

  • Revenue & Payout explain the various revenue and payout schemes that can be chosen
  • Explanations for these can be found in the Offer Payout & Revenue Tutorial
  • Select a base revenue type (RPA, RPA+RPS, RPC, RPS) 
  • Select a Revenue per Conversion figure (we set it at $1.50)
  • Select a base payout type (% Revenue, CPA, CPA+CPS, CPC, CPS)
  • Select a Cost per Conversion figure (we set it at $1.25)
  • You can also add an event by clicking “Add Event”
  • It will ask you to name the event, ask if it’s private, and then ask for payout & revenue schemes
  • Click add when finished
  • Click continue to move on to Tracking & Controls


Tracking & Controls

  • Here you can select the specific tracking domain, the conversion method, force SSL, and support deep links
  • You can select/search other tracking domains 
  • Select a conversion method, there are seven: Cookie based, HTTP Iframe pixel, HTTP Image pixel, HTTPS Iframe pixel, HTTPS Image pixel, Javascript, and server postback
  • Turning on Force SSL will enable a Secure Sockets Layer, which provide added security over a computer network
  • You can enable Deep Links
  • You can also enable Caps and Controls, which allow you to set limits on traffic and set specifications
  • We set a daily conversion cap of 3000
  • You must also set a session definition (Cookie, IP address, IP address + User Agent) and a session duration
  • Click continue when finished


Under Targeting

  • Targeting allows you to filter which users you would like to see the offer based on device characteristics and geolocation
  • You can filter users based on specifics like platform, device type, and browser or country, region, and city
  • You can apply both types of filters simultaneously as we did
  • Click continue when finished


Under Fail Traffic

  • Enabling fail traffic allows for you to add redirects
  • Once added, select an offer and add rules
  • Click continue when finished


Under Files

  • The Files section allows you to add a thumbnail or creative
  • You can add a creative by clicking add creative and you can add a thumbnail by clicking the arrow icon to the right of the file box
  • Click save when finished


Adding an Affiliate

  • From the dashboard, click Affiliates>>Add
  • Name the affiliate, select an account manager, and select a status
  • All other sections are optional
  • Click add when finished


Fetching a Tracking Link

  • To create a tracking link, click the dashboard and scroll down
  • Select an offer, an affiliate, fill in the parameters as needed, and the tracking link will appear below
  • You can copy the tracking link by clicking the double box icon to the top right of the tracking link
  • Now the tracking link has been copied to you clipboard
