Affiliate/Publisher Postbacks

The following tutorial will help you understand the fundamentals of affiliate postbacks.

Step #1

To see the list of affiliate postbacks, select Affiliates then Postbacks in the drop down menu.

This is the list of affiliate postbacks. The data is organized in a table with eight columns.

Step #2

You can filter the data by clicking the box next to Columns labeled Active to switch between Active, Inactive, and Show All postbacks.

Step #3

The Columns feature allows you to add or subtract columns to your table of postbacks.

This feature has two sections: Available (Columns) and Selected (Columns). The Selected (Columns) section is what makes up the table. The Available (Columns) section shows the columns that can be added to the table. To show how to manipulate the columns in the table, we added Last Changed to Selected (Columns).

As you can see, Last Changed appears as a column in the table now.

Step #4

You can add a new postback by clicking the + Add Postback button on the right of the page. After clicking that button it will take you to this page:

In-active just means paused.

Conversion is basically the first conversion action such as a lead or install. Post Conversion is a postback that is usually set on a tracking event such as a registration or sale.

Global means for the whole network. Specific is for a specific offer and specific affiliate.

These are just the two different types of postbacks available. HTML will either be an image pixel or iframe. Postback is a server to server link.

Step #5

When you add a postback URL here. You need to make sure you have a spot to pass back the click ID. If you do not have this the postback will not work. Our click ID macro is {transaction_id}

Step #7

If you would like to edit the postback please click  to the right of the postback you want to edit. This will bring you back to the original postback creation page.
