The following tutorial will outline the steps in creating a dimensional report.
To get to the page to create an affiliate report, simply go to Reporting, then Daily.
Usually the reports will have data for that day, but since this one does not, click Run Report. Now you can see the daily report data for the day. The daily report is broken down into three different categories: Summary, Performance, and the table of data. Summary shows important metrics such as clicks, total conversions, conversion rate, as well as payout/revenue metrics. Performance is a chart that shows how different metrics have been behaving. You can change the metric displayed on the graph by changing the Metric drop down menu. The table shows the raw data on the individual days. You can order the table by any of the columns by clicking on the metric you would like to order it by.
To create an accurate report, begin with setting a date range. We set it to encompass the last 60 days.
Pro tip - There are shortcuts for picking date ranges at the top. The shortcuts are Today, Yesterday, Last Week, Month to Date (MTD), Last Month, Year to Date (YTD).
The next feature worth mentioning is Filters. Filters allows you to narrow the data in the table by selecting certain metrics to be included in the report.
The following list are the filters available:
- Offer Group
- Affiliate Manager
- Account Manager
- Billing Frequency
- Business Unit
We selected a few offers (Bigmac Android, Candy Crush Saga, and Clash of Clans Android) and a few of the affiliates (Adcolony, Appnexus, and Facebook) to set as filters for the report. Click Save when finished. The filters will be listed underneath the date range, Filters, and Run Report button.
The next tab is Settings. This controls the Timezone and Currency of the report. Click Save when finished.
Now that all the dates, filters, and settings have been adjusted, it is time to run the report. Do so by simply clicking Run Report.
The report now encompasses the last 56 days but only with the specific offers and affiliates that were chosen in the filters.
You can also export the table, but only in CSV. You can do so by clicking CSV located next to Metrics.
