Conversion Method

There are seven different conversion methods in the Tracking & Controls section when either editing or adding a new offer. Here is an explanation of how they work as well as a flow chart to help you distinguish between the different types. For more info on coupon code please CLICK HERE


Cookie Based

This form of tracking is based off of a cookie, it does not require a transaction ID/click ID to be passed back to us in order for a conversion to be recorded. 


HTTP Iframe Pixel (with Transaction ID)

This un-secure Iframe requires a transaction ID to be sent to us when the Iframe is fired in order for a conversion to be recorded.


HTTP Image Pixel (with Transaction ID)

This un-secure Image Pixel requires a transaction ID to be sent to us when the image pixel is fired in order for a conversion to be recorded.


HTTPS Iframe Pixel (with Transaction ID)

This secure Iframe requires a transaction ID to be sent to us when the Iframe is fired in order for a conversion to be recorded.


HTTPS Image Pixel (with Transaction ID)

This secure Image Pixel requires a transaction ID to be sent to us when the image pixel is fired in order for a conversion to be recorded.


Javascript

This requires that the javascript code be fired with a transaction ID in order for the conversion to be recorded. 


Server Postback

This is a server 2 server postback url that requires a transaction ID in order for a conversion to be recorded. 


*Pro Tip - For the most accurate results with cookie based tracking, make sure that the tracking domain and conversion domain are the same. *
